On March 31, Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme funded GREENER project host the second seminar of the partnership on Innovative Energy Services Seminar. GREENER lead partner Anne Marie McLaughlin from ERNACT welcomed the attendees and gave an overview on the project.

GREENER project partners Heidi Kanala-Salminen from Centria University of Applied Sciences and Markku Kananen from Oulu University presented each speaker before their presentations.

Silva Herrmann, Energy Expert at Jokkmokk municipality (Sweden). Silva Herrmann shared the result of the LECo project regarding Local Solar Communities at Jokkmokk Municipality. 

Arto Rautevaara from ECO Concept (Finland) talked about the Gas conversions for vehicles. Total energy service solutions including addressing soaring fuel costs by converting diesel vehicles to dual fuel or bi-fuel.

Kirsi-Maaria Forssell, Expert at Motiva Ltd (Finland)talked about the state-owned company, Motiva, working towards a sustainable Finland by facilitating energy efficiency agreements, energy audits, building energy efficiency, materials efficiency, sustainable procurement, consumer energy advice, etc., for ministries, and other public bodies.

Marju Silander, Executive Director of Omakotiliitto (The Finnish Home Owners’ Association) on promoting the small house lifestyle interests of all single-family home dwellers in Finland, ensuring living costs are fair, and knowledge on home maintenance.

Mauritz Ketola from Wifotek Oy Ab (Finland) talked on the modern pellet heating. ÖkoFEN is a specialist in pellet boilers and one of the leading suppliers of different solutions on renewable energy including micro scale combined heat and power boiler.
